How are you furthering yourself?

A big reason that I have been stuck lately is that I haven’t been able to work hard enough to further myself.

That sentence probably isn’t totally accurate.

I haven’t felt very motivated to further myself.  I feel very stuck and I’m not 100% sure how to fix it.

I have many ideas of things that I want to (and, almost – in a way – need to) accomplish.  I have 15 days until NaNoWriMo starts.  I have two ideas and think that I know what I’m going to write, but if you’d like to help me decide, take this quick survey for me here:

The other thing that I really want to make happen is a contact challenge – something I attempted a couple of years ago as a New Year’s resolution.  This is something that I really think would be great and could really make things work out.  But if I’m going to make it happen, I have to really start working on it.

I want to take more photos and put them up so that if people want to purchase them, they can.  But this might mean editing and taking more photos.  We’ll see how it goes.

And, then there is a new blog.  I love this place and I love that I have been able to use it as a sounding board, but I want to start a new blog about where I am in my life right now – a blog that can grow with me as I grow.  (But more on that later – I’m guessing this probably won’t happen until after the new year).

Doing these things will help me feel more accomplished, I think.  And it might help with my money situation.  So, we’ll see how it goes.  It’s a lot and I probably need to focus on just one (or maybe two) things at a time.  Which means that I will not be doing any photography stuff or a new blog any time soon probably.  Because November will be here soon and if I want to launch a challenge for keeping contact with people – I should make it happen for the new year like I want to.

Okay.  I’ve rambled enough today.

How do you stay motivated to get things done?  Do you have anything you want to accomplish on your to-do list that you feel would help you improve your life?
